What we believe
Today, the most capable AI systems are concentrated in a handful of large research labs. The knowledge, compute, and tooling required to train and deploy these systems remain out of reach for most people and organizations. This concentration limits who can benefit from AI and who gets to shape its development.
But a fundamental shift is underway. Small, efficient models are rapidly approaching frontier performance. Edge deployment is becoming viable. The cost of running capable AI is dropping by orders of magnitude. We are entering an era where powerful AI can run on a phone, a sensor, a local server — not just in a hyperscaler data center.
